United Kingdom - Verification & Requirements (Private Hire)
To comply with UK law and ensure safe, legal vehicle use, we verify your driving entitlements with the relevant authorities, including the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). This may include your Driving Licence, CBT certificate, and other documentation required for motorcycle use. Verification is a compulsory part of onboarding for all riders using our service in the United Kingdom.

What is a UK Driving Licence?
A UK driving licence is an official government-issued document that authorises you to drive motor vehicles on public roads in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. It’s issued by:
- DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) for Great Britain
- DVA (Driver & Vehicle Agency) for Northern Ireland
There are two main formats:
- 🪪 Photocard licence: the standard plastic card with your photo, name, address, licence number, and vehicle categories
- 📄 Paper counterpart: still used in Northern Ireland for certain checks and tests
Your UK licence confirms your legal entitlement to drive and is often used as proof of identity for insurance, employment, and onboarding processes
How do I get the Required Documents / Entitlements?
Check out this guidance from the UK Government: Riding a motorcycle, moped or motor tricycle
To ride with Zenion, you need to have at least a valid Provisional Licence and a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) Certificate, you do not need to have the full motorcycle licence to drive our vehicles.
