Keeping Your Bike Covered: Servicing Requirements Explained
To keep your vehicle safe, reliable, and fully insured, regular servicing and inspections are essential. Our servicing policy is designed to protect both you and your vehicle.
Why Servicing Matters
Unlike petrol bikes, electric vehicles can run longer between checkups. But that doesn’t mean they’re maintenance free. Without regular maintenance, hidden wear and tear can build up, leading to performance issues and safety risks.

FAQs
Q: My vehicle is also due for an MOT. What should I do?
- A: If your vehicle needs an MOT, we’ll arrange for it to be completed during your service. If you’ve booked and afternoon slot, we may ask you to come in earlier to ensure there's enough time.
Q: What happens if I miss my service appointment?
- A: Please contact us as soon as possible if you can't attend. If you miss your appointment and don’t rebook promptly, your vehicle may be deactivated and your contract ended.
Q: How do I know when my vehicle is due for service?
- A: We’ll send reminder emails once you reach 2,000 miles. However, it's your responsibility to track mileage and attend your service before 2,500 miles.
Q: Can I reschedule my service appointment?
- A: Yes, but only if your vehicle is under 2,500 miles. Just contact us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Q: What is included in a service?
- A: A standard service includes a full inspection, maintenance checks, and any necessary repairs to keep your vehicle safe, efficient, and compliant.
Q: Will I get a courtesy vehicle during the service?
- A: We may be able to offer a substitute vehicle if one is available and your service is expected to take longer than usual. Availability is limited.
Q: What should I do during the service appointment?
- A: You’re welcome to wait at the workshop or leave and return once we notify you that your vehicle is ready for collection.
Q: What happens if I reach 2,500 miles and haven’t booked a service?
- A: We’ll automatically book a service for you. If you don’t attend, your vehicle may be deactivated and your contract will be terminated. If we have to do this, you’ll still be responsible for the vehicle's safety until we take it back into our possession.
Q: Why is servicing required for electric vehicles?
- A: While electric vehicles go longer between services than petrol bikes, they still require regular checks. Skipping servicing can lead to safety risks and may void your insurance.
