Refer a Friend & Save! How Our Referral Scheme Works

This scheme only applies to riders who have created an account on or before 1 September 2025. All riders who created an account before this date will be on the old referral scheme

Starting September 1st 2025, we’ve refreshed our referral scheme to make it clearer, fairer, and more rewarding for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just getting started, here’s how you can earn weekly discounts by inviting friends to join

Who’s Who?

  • Referrer: That’s you, the person giving the referral and earning the discount
  • Referee: The new rider you’ve referred.

Weekly Cycle

  • Each referral week ends Friday at 23:59. Please make sure you have no outstanding invoices by this time
  • Discounts are calculated over the weekend and applied to the referrers rental payment the following week
  • You’ll only receive discounts if both you and your referees are up to date on your payments

What We Do Behind the Scenes

Every weekend we will

  • Add new referees to your discount plan
  • Remove any discounts for referees who are behind on their payments
  • Remove all discounts for referrers who are behind on their payments

Rewards Breakdown

  • You earn £5 for every referee who is up to date on their payments
  • You can refer as many people as you like
  • Maximum discount is 100% of your weekly rental payment

FAQs

Q: How do i refer someone?

  • A: Login to riders.zenion.com and ask your friend to scan the QR code - no scan, no referral

Q: What if my referee returns their bike?

  • A: Your discount for that referral pauses. If they return later your discount will resume

Q: Can I refer more than 15 people?

  • A: Yes! You’ll still get discounts, but the weekly cap is 100% of your weekly payment

Q: What happens if i have overdue invoices?

  • A: You wont receive any referral discounts for that week. When you’re back up to date your discount will resume

Q: Can my referee refer others?

  • A: Yes! Once they’re riding they can refer friends too

Q: When do discounts apply?

  • A: Discounts are calculated over the weekend and applied the following week.

Q: My referee has overdue invoices. If they pay them off, will i get the discount again?

  • A: Yes, once they’re up to date, your discount will resume from the next applicable week. However, we don’t backdate missed discounts caused by overdue payments.

Q: I forgot to give my friend my referral code. Can I add it later?

  • A: Sorry, we can only accept referrals where the QR code is scanned and the referee signs up in that same session. This helps us keep the system fair and trackable.

Q: Can I refer someone who’s already riding?

  • A: No, referrals must happen during sign up. Once someone has signed up, they cant be referred retroactively.

Q: Can I change who referred me?

  • A: No, once your QR code is scanned and your account is linked, your referral is locked in
